WELCOME TO THE LANGUAGE COURSES AT PASVIK FOLK HIGH SCHOOL JUNE 25th – JULY 4th 2018
In 2018 we invite you to the Norwegian and Russian language courses. The Norwegian course is designed for beginner and intermediate levels.
What is unique for our language courses is that Norwegian, Russian and other foreign participants are gathered together, and you have a chance to practise the language you learn immediately. Participants socialize during the breaks, meals, and other activities.
The goal of the language course is to get familiar with the language structure. It aims at providing participants with a vocabulary that will help them to manage everyday situations. There will also be given an introduction to the culture, history and society of Norway.
Every day during the course there are lectures and other programs associated with the local culture or the Barents Region. Excursions will be offered to the participants. We will also arrange mini-golf tournaments, sauna evenings and other social activities.
It will during the course will be held several public lectures associated with the local culture or the Barents Region. These lectures are usually at midday between sessions with language teaching. Our course has a very social profile and emphasis is placed on the participants to get to know each other across national and cultural backgrounds. We arrange evenings of grilling and Sauna bath at school leisure-facilities by the Pasvik River.
The school also has its own indoor swimming pool and fitness center, which can be used freely by the participants of the course.
